Intelligence, 12 Tao's

What's intelligence? How can you improve it?

Particularly in this western oriented world your Intelligence Quote (IQ) seems very important, isn't it?

But what is intelligence really?

It can be seen in different forms. There are two mainstreams of intelligence the normal intelligence , we call IQ and the emotional intelligence , often called EQ

If IQ an IQ are in balance, you're changes of leading a happy life increase.

EQ an IQ in balance ?

Now try these wonderful EQ and or IQ tests, to find out for yourself:

The 12 TAO's of Intelligence

But there a far more Tao's (ways) of intelligence.

Very interesting is the vision of Jim Channon at Spectral Intelligence.

I quote his vision here:

Life as a work of art
A wonderful way to participate more fully in life is to interact with the world in as many ways as possible. Each type of intelligence you can acquire gives you another way to know and contribute to the civilization around you. In this paper we will learn about a greater range of intellectual styles than you are normally exposed to. Each style of intelligence can be practiced using normal everyday acts. The collective mastery of these more varied styles constitutes your spectral intelligence.

More intelligence equals more experience
As you experience each of these avenues for learning and contributing to your world, see if you can work with them too increase your range and awareness. Give yourself credit for even a small amount of skill in each area and then build upon the areas of interest to you. The new skills will open you up to greater fulfillment and a greater contribution.

Jim distinguishes 12 forms - or as I call them Tao's - of intelligence:
  • Verbal
  • Mathematical
  • Visual/Spatial
  • Musical
  • Physical
  • Intrapersonal
  • Interpersonal
  • Somatic
  • Native
  • Receptive
  • Intuitive
  • Emotional

Improve your intelligence skills where and whenever you can !
